339. Rewe

EGING, GERMANY

Catching up on three days blogs this morning took some doing and ate a hole in the day. Another time hole created by phoning Charles and Juliet and gassing for a couple of hours which was great. Frustratingly, couldn't tackle any maintenance projects as everything is shut today.


This evening we went on a bike ride along the old railway line that runs behind the camp. As always railways lines are fantastic with easy gradients, smooth curves and this one had many lovely embankments within the forest. The trails are perfectly sealed with no provision to keep cars out but there is absolutely no evidence of the loutish behaviour which NZ and the UK have made a national institution. Fragile public monuments and rest areas remain intact.
