300. Smooth

INTERLAKEN, Switzerland

I am aware that bookings will likely become much harder to get now that we are moving into the main summer holiday period for Europe. We will need to start booking well ahead and doing so is a time consuming process and requires some idea of where we actually want to go - challenging times.

First day in camp involving many loads of washing through our little machine (on the left of the awning photo) and a big chat on the phone to cousins, Stephen and Lynda, covering Brexit, Trumps UK visit and other horrors. Late in the conversation I discovered it was Lynda's birthday which was a worthy reason for their having to go. Apologies and Happy Birthday Lynda.

Yesterday, supermarket bound, I spotted a second hand store with bikes outside, Audrey having outgrown her bike, now with wonky wheels, the result of my having collided with another camper at Christmas, Audreys bike suffering the damage. Jacqueline I snuck away while the younger three children were engrossed in Audrey's Mac Donalds she had built in Lego and Iris, as always, deep in a book. Cousin Stephen did a great job almost completely straightening the wheels when they were with us in April which kept the bike usable.

Found a couple of worthy options amongst all the rubbish, cheap bikes, so went back with the younger three, Iris still engrossed, and made the purchase. Wow, it's so smooth was Audrey's delighted comment.
