419. Francis was here

Assisi

Jacqueline was up and away early walking into Assisi for a hair appointment at nine. Following her appointment the plan was for us to walk in and join her. This takes some carousing as they prefer to read than to get dressed, clean teeth and get organised. I baked four supermarket pizzas in the Giantavan's gas oven and we set off. Ovens are not common in caravans but we are very grateful that that we have one and use it daily.
Walking the lovely olive lined trail from the camp into Assisi

There are few gates in the city walls

Fountains and troughs, always a draw
Santa Maria Maggiore

Tanked kids are better kids, one pizza each now

Not many Panda 45 still in service with the police.
Still a very popular private car. These were here when I last was,
twenty eight years ago with Julie.

This Roman temple was converted to
Christianity nine hundred years ago.
That is before the Maori people settled in NZ!

    1. Certainly better than the forty degree days plus they had over summer. No crowds, easy parking, pretty good actually.
