Perugia

It has been twenty eight years since last here and wasn't sure if I would recognise anything of the place. The GPS set to Perugia, it took us to the carpark at the bottom of the public escalators up the hill into the centre - too easy. Twenty eight years ago, with Julie, Italy was the highlight of the six weeks in Europe travelling and Perugia the highlight* of Italy so I have been looking forward to getting back here. The focus on food and toilets, now that we are travelling with children.

Surprisingly, there is no sign of the big quakes that killed almost three hundred, two years ago.

It truly is a beautiful hilltop town and too much to see in one hit so we delaying our departure north and coming back again while here in Assisi.
