426. Alps

GRESSONEY-SAINT-JEAN, AOSTA VALLEY, NORTHERN ITALY

After the big drive yesterday and arriving in the dark, a camp day was very welcome. The manager got us to park with the door facing north for the view. Woke up to the fantastic views below. Froze in the Disco while yarning to Uncle Richard for an hour, before the sun hit the camp then spent the rest of the morning writing a report while warming up in the Giantavan.
Lovely alpine village, this is the road to the camp
Useful having a GPS that shows that we can fit
Spot the hound

Beautiful stone roofs abound

All the private, permanent caravans have wooden annexes and
protective roofs as the ski season is the busy time here
Lovely little grocery store at the end of the lane
A really good, heated rec room
