433. Gardening

Versailes

Headed off later in the day for Versailles as it is not that far from camp. Discovered that the palace closed at six but it was a cold and clear evening and the gardens were to remain open, free entry, till seven.
Not a bad park
The Palace is extensive
Former administration buildings across the way
Through the gold gates into this exquisiteness
Walk round the left of the Palace to the gardens.
This is looking from the gardens
Three major fountains down to the lake
Raven or Rook, maybe a Jackdaw, possibly a crow?
Fountain of Latona

Apollon Fountain looking toward the Grand Canal

Bassin de Flore (1672-1679)

Amazing moat to give a clear view from the Palace
