20. Operation Neptune - Omaha Beach

Sainte-Honorine-des-Pertes

Omaha Beach - Luckily, we're seventy three years late...

Traumatised the children by showing them the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan before dinner.

Again, programmed the GPS to take secondary roads that again were virtually empty.  Don't completely know the way we came but the trip took us about four and a half hours.

Totally sheltered, totally sunny - magic
Had a choice of spots so asked for the sunniest which placed us at the end of the camp ground with literally acres of space.  Got almost completely set up before realising that our twenty metre electrical flex was three metres too short!  Luckily a fellow camper took pity on us and constructed an extension cord.

Perhaps a place for a wet day. Thinking that the themes will lighten as you hit Brittany :)
