26. Tim's cool place

Camaret-sur-Mer - Coast Atlantic - Oct 10, 2017

Toilet cartridge fits on top of grey waste for carting
Back on the road. Egress and arrival made easier with the children now doing some of the prep / setup without being asked. Audrey and Fyfe oiled their swords with olive oil, Iris does her best to make sure the family meets its literary quota (today Coot Club and Big Six), Roman took it upon himself to empty the grey and black waste which surprised me that he could manage as it is heavy (I did the actual tipping out of the black). First task this morning was finding the next camp site while sitting outside the office in the cold. Camping Plage de Trez-Rouz my first success with ASCI (thank you Stephen & Lynda) at €28/night.

Brilliant, machines lock while washing
We have now done the width of France, from Belgium to the Celtic Sea. I can hear the sea as I write this in our caravan. After an hour on the road we stopped at an Intermache-Super as we know know they have excellent self service laundries in the carpark with a 8kg & 18kg machine and a 18 kg drier. While the machines did their best we shopped and then cooked four pizzas in the caravan oven for the kids. Total stop took and hour and a half and the children were entertained jumping around on the petrol / diesel tank covers. Roman discovered that the padlocks were not closed!
All in all, an easy day with a re-run of Famous Five - Five go off in a Caravan audiobook for over three hours.  We have now completed the whole series and very impressed with Janet Francis' reading.

Looking at a wet day tomorrow so will be a chance to do some admin. Water system failed, Jac’s car on eBay, work stuff, finish off alarm system, investigate free camping.

No WiFi in caravan which is a pain.

GPR Travel Tip - Audio Books are great as the children still look at the scenery, don't fight nor get car sick.

  1. I'm impressed by Roman... I can't get ours to flush half the time or use the bog brush...
