Passchendaele done, now for WWII. Operation Omaha, breaking the trip into two, stopping halfway for a break from the front, in the Somme Valley!
Set the GPS to avoid motorways and travelled for three hours on virtually empty secondary roads, in front of us anyway.
Kids delighted on arrival at Aux Cygnes D'Opale to find a heated, covered pool. I knew it but didn't mention it prior as the fine print stated no two axle homes and it is likely that the Giantavan would meet that description. The man at reception was lovely and relaxed. Turn right and pick any spot you like - brilliant.
We ran out of Propane yesterday so that will be tomorrow's challenge, refilling an existing UK gas bottle. Have perfected the art of saucepans, kettle on charcoal BBQ using the awning inflater as a oxygen blaster. Certainly makes lighting the BBQ fast.
Must get the alarm / tracker fitted!
