140. Retail therapy

CONIL DE LA FRONTERA, CADIZ, SPAIN

Jacqueline and Audrey returned from the UK this afternoon laden with my eBay and Amazon purchases plus a whole lot of other goodies from the UK including a Christmas present from my siblings. Don't know what it is as the children were gagging for me to open it however they failed to meet their agreed target for when they would be in bed.

Lost Roman for a bit when we were about to leave for the airport in Jerez. Turned out he was up at the camper dump station watching people dump their grey water and no doubt informing them on the various merits of the different systems.

Jacqueline returned from Blighty with the following for me
  1. Micro switch for the kitchen tap - so that we don't have to hold the crude starter motor switch on that I cobbled up after turning the tap on
  2. Ballcock and rollflat hose for the Aquaroll fresh water tank - now that we aren't connecting the hose directly to the Giantavan and using the submersible 12V pump system that only runs when a tap is open, therefore noe residual pressure, therefore no leaks - that's the thinking anyway
  3. Temperature controlled fine tip soldering iron so that I can repair some of the LED lights that have dead LEDS due to dry solder joints. I will drop the soldering gun that I purchased previously into the camp library
  4. Spare screw in water filter cartridge for the caravan water feed
  5. Spare 300W immersion water heater element
  6. Land Rover Discovery 3 (2004-2009) Rear PDC Parking Sensor OEM
  7. Two Motorola T60 walkie talkies
  8. Second hand DK Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide: Marrakech £2.85
  9. Second hand Italy DK Eyewitness Travel Guide £2.80
  10. Second hand DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Morocco £2.64
  11. Cheap 12V tester probe with integral light
  12. 12V 10A Mini Fused Auto Cool Fridge Cooler Box Cigarette Cable Power 2.5m lead for our Halfords car fridge that we keep in the awning with cold meats and cheeses in it
  13. Whale Pressure Switch as the pump on the internal tank over pressurises the system if people only turn on a tap a little bit
  14. Spare Whale Standard 12V Submersible Electric Pump - White, 10l/min as we use one of these pumps for the toilet flush and one in the Aquaroll tank
  15. Second hand Motorola T60 walkie talkie
  16. Reflectors as required in spain for long car trailer combinations, pair ECE70 long load marker boards for car trailer combinations over 12m in length
  17. DIN standard 12V plug and adapter so that we can plug the Halfords fridge straight into the Giantavan outside socket
  18. New battery for Jacqueline's MacBook Air
  19. New protective cover for my phone
All this will keep me happy for a bit tinkering around getting it all installed. Bought a random orbital sander on the way to the airport so that I can give the boat some lurve.

Special thank you to Elizabeth & Tony, Jago and Lucy & Tim and Rohan for their hospitality for Jacqueline and Audrey.

Hoping to visit Seville tomorrow
