Valencia
Great showers here. I know such things shouldn't be mentioned in a blog but reviews said that the ablutions were tired but we found a brand new block installed. Good ablutions blocks are really appreciated - nuff said.

Americas Cup Centre |
I was keen to see what remained of the 2007 and 2009 America's cup area, wasn't expecting there to be much but was really surprised to see the whole lot sitting, pretty much as the teams left it. We were even able to drive around on the rigging and launching areas. Needless to say, this hallowed ground did not had a great effect on the family who endured the cold, windy visit only due to the promise of greater things to come.

The
City of Arts and Sciences was the obvious next call. We had Teasel on the roof so the underground, on site, parking was not possible and I thought we would have a problem however we drove about thirty seconds and got a superb park, road side, for free.

Open and zoom in for this 180º panorama to view correctly |
I think it would take many days to explore this facility properly but it certainly did feel futuristic. We ate lunch then thought that the engineering film at the iMax would be a good option only to discover it was only in Spanish as the advertised English option had not been delivered. The science museum was it though the forty five Euro entrance was a surprise. It was magnificent with exhibits as good as any I have seen. The first exhibit was huge incubators with chicken eggs scattered and chickens breaking their way out. I think we must have watched, fascinated, for nearly an hour.
There were four floors of interactive exhibits all laid out in a random maze of exploration. We only got through a couple of them before we were kicked out at six. Kicked out was the right description. We lost Iris and though people were still leaving and Fyfe and I went looking outside, Fyfe running to the far end of the museum and back to the car in vain, meanwhile the lady was threatening to call security on Jacqueline who was waiting to see if Iris appeared. Eventually we found her at the far end in tears having had a similar experience.
