St Paul de Vence, France
Fyfe and my lunch spot |
St Paul de Vence is (according to our ten year old DK Eyewitness guide, bought for two pounds off Amazon) one of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art museums and galleries. It was also past the Apple store as to of our Macs have two power supplies to share and the charging is intermittent at best which is frustrating. Frustrated kids stayed in the car while dashed in and bought a little white box for ninety five euro. Luckily both laptops now charging perfectly so it was two faulty power supplies!
St Paul de Vence was absolutely fantastic though there was not a single shop for what local population remained, if any. Every shop beautiful and aimed at the visiting tourist, though not us on account of both our means and the late time of day.
We did virtually every alley we could find |
Love how buckets have almost worn the bars through |
The sky was full of Swallows |
Not much of the art appealed but this one did |
On the walls of the walled village |
Got the impression that very few live here now and those that do live only in the houses with a view |
The church was very impressive |
Lovely vistas |
A very discrete public toilet |

Historic village for £2 is a bargain. Perhaps you don't need the extra comma?
🙂
Jolly good spotting Ed, have changed commas to brackets
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful spot. Had one of best ever meals there back in 2000. Amazing food and at true fine-dining experience.
ReplyDeletePlayed some petanque with the locals as you do.
