Rome
With hopes high and HPVI on the radio we set off at midday for Rome......
Lunch stop, Lucignano, Tuscany, Italy |
....... and everything went perfectly. Apologies readers, the repair was perfect, the front of the Giantavan is as solid as a rock, no blog fodder at all, much to my relief.
Our visitor, kids delighted |
Booked on Pitchup this time as I didn't want a repeat of the last campsite which ended up at seventy five euro per night for the three days that we were there. My heart sank on arriving here at Fabulous to discover that it is the same chain of campgrounds however our booking was good and we are here at forty euro per night as booked. Again, not great for the blog but great for us, I was much relieved.
Took a lot of care choosing the site on arriving as we are here for over two weeks while I return to NZ for meetings, Friday.
Sometimes boring is good....
ReplyDeleteWill you get down to Vesuvius & Pompeii while you're there?
Naples area is our next stop so yes, really looking forward to it
DeleteBrilliant, see if you can get a tour guide at Pompeii - we loved Herculaneum. There's a free little tour if you got Vesuvius - it's a steep climb!
