304. Up the Eiger

INTERLAKEN, SWITZERLAND


A short drive up to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen was this afternoons adventure. After a week by the lake it was a surprise to find ourselves driving in the alps, five minutes after leaving camp. All very stunning and beautiful.
From Grindelwald the mountains are imposing

Everywhere is developed giving people access


Everywhere is mown by sickle bar mowers,
the loose hay blown into these barns
The Eiger (13,015 ft) rising ten thousand feet above us

The Thousand foot waterfall,
aptly named
