309. A bridge each way

Lucerne

Nespresso shop in the background was our first point of call
as Roman is a real enthusiast
Chappel Bridge, built 1365
Beautiful wooden structure, the floor worn from all the foot traffic
The only Lucerne landmark I knew prior
Roman departing - of course
Bridge built 1365, tower older
Tower now holds a tat shop

Roman is the self checkout champion
The second covered bridge, a little down stream

Water level in the lake is controlled manually at this weir
As soon as we departed the river it was a town like any other with the usual array of multinational label shops. Swiss themed shops are the same as NZ tourist shops, different stuff but mostly made in China, even the Cuckoo clocks.
