328. Two toes

Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Swarovski Kristallwelten)

Lunch in the wind tunnel
After a delay on departing for Audrey who go stung on the toe by a wasp, poor thing. Back to the crystal park with my Mum. Wasn't totally sure what we were up for but children were keen for the play experience and looked like a good option for the whole family including the AP. Scorching hot day so we ate lunch in the shade alongside the first office in a very pleasant wind tunnel that must be absolutely perishing during the long winters that they have here.

It is a very odd/beautiful place as it is loosely themed around cut glass and it is quite a feat to make a whole theme park around that. The experience is many interlinked rooms with different weird and wacky displays, animations and effects, interesting, sometimes beautiful but with little real connection. I know no more about the industry, material or manufacturing than I did prior.

Water display viewing
Good little water feature display (water dyed black)
every fifteen minutes though
the AP and I are Las Vegas veterans
where the water displays are incredible
Our last port of call was a five story glass play tower where all children had to be accompanied by an adult. The AP and I arrived after the family and on entering I could see why. The rope spiders web was five stories high and when I climbed down two floors, about eight metres vertical I did give pause to wonder about how many broken arms and legs they deal with. Being mid summer it was stifling hot in there, probably around forty degrees. Shortly after, Fyfe lifted the nail off his big toe with lots of blood so that was it for us. As we departed, the heavens opened, soaking us to the skin, literally.
Instant rivers of water everywhere.
The AP had an umbrella and still got soaked.
