Totally under-estimated the packing up process today. The children started making a Viking longboat out of the two and a half meter long cardboard box that the rear bumper bar arrived in. Vikings need shields so shield manufacturing it was for the rest of the day. Jacqueline and Fyfe went shopping so the children's production line included a shield for Fyfe.

I took a lot of care doing the final mounting for the lightweight rear bumper so that when it is attached it is not under any stress. Ran aluminium straps forward from the underneath corners so that everything wasn't just relying on one wood screw at each corner.

Midway through shield manufacturing the problem came up of how to mount the handles/straps. I had offered the left over webbing from the battery/lpg bottle mounts. Ended up using five minute Araldite with outstanding results. Also patched the front of Teasels centre case with the same.

Had a lovely chat with cousin Kay from Prestwick and afterwards she sent through a photo that my grandmother has sent her dad in the early nineteen eighties.
